Welcome to the PixelParser Blog Section

Rather the install a CMS for our website we decide to compartmentalize our site and use WordPress for the Blog and explore other packages for other appropriate functions (eg. forum). Why? well the team at PixelParser have implemented a few content management systems for a number of clients (Mainly Joomla, MODx and Drupal based sites) and we think we have a good idea as to what works for certain requirements. In fact we even created our own “very basic” simple php CMS system (affectionately called “Biteme”) for use with smaller sites where all the bells and whistles of some CMS were overwhelming but editing and basic online management added some value. WordPress is nice and simple and meets our needs for contributions and networking with business partners to prduce content.

The purpose of this blog is to provide useful information for our business partners and clients about the process and business of building web solutions and online content.

Our first topic will be the conversion of the PixelParser template into a WordPress theme. We begin to cover that in more detail next post
